In what subjects are entrance exams held in specialized state educational institutions?

✅ technology - 20 test questions in mathematics, 10 questions in the language and literature taught at the institution, a total of 30 test questions.

With the exception of cases when separate subject areas are indicated in the government decree on the creation of specialized state general educational institutions.

What are the conditions for awarding gold medals to schoolchildren?

Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 154 of April 22, 2019 approved the procedure for awarding gold and silver medals to talented graduates of general secondary education.

The norms for allocating study hours to heads of educational institutions are regulated by the “Regulations on the remuneration of workers of public education”, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of December 21, 2005 No. 275.

According to Article 14 of this Regulation, the head of a state educational institution may combine the main position with the position of a teacher up to 10 hours per week (workload) with hourly pay.

The hourly wages are determined in accordance with the "Hourly wages for training", approved by the Decree of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 22, 2019 No. 3157. Do teachers pay for a medical examination?

According to the Labor Code, the employer must arrange for a medical examination of teachers and other employees of secondary schools, preschools and other institutions directly involved in the education or upbringing of children at the time of concluding an employment contract.

Employees have no right to refuse to undergo medical examinations.

No fee is charged from the employee in connection with the medical examination, as well as the employee's place of work (position) and the average monthly salary are maintained during the medical examination.

What subjects can an elementary school teacher teach in general secondary schools?

In grades 5-9, class leaders are selected and appointed by the administration of the educational institution from among experienced teachers.

Only one class leader is assigned to one teacher.

If a college teacher with a head teacher qualification category goes to work for the school, will the category be retained?

In accordance with paragraph 17 of the "Regulations on the procedure for certification of teachers of preschool, general secondary, secondary special, vocational and extracurricular educational institutions" approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on April 7, 2016 No 107 Preschool, general secondary and Qualification categories or positions of pedagogical staff of secondary special, vocational and out-of-school educational institutions are retained when transferring from one type of educational institution to another.

At the same time, the second qualification category of pedagogical staff of preschool and public education systems is equated to the position of senior teacher of secondary special, vocational education system, the first qualification category - to the position of leading teacher, the highest qualification category - to the position of head teacher.

What measures can be taken against students who do not follow the rules of school uniforms?

Violation of the internal rules of the educational institution in accordance with paragraph 18 of the Regulation "On the introduction of modern uniforms for students of public secondary schools", approved by the Cabinet of Ministers and the order of the Ministry of Public Education No. 208 and the following measures may be taken against such students:

Can I transfer my child from one school to another? If so, how is it done?

Order of the Minister of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 2, 2015 No 13-mh "On approval of the Regulations on the procedure for transferring students from class to class and from one general secondary school to another" (Registered by the Ministry of Justice on June 17, 2015 No 2684 conducted) mainly in the following order:

✅ An application is submitted to the principal of the school where the child is studying. The application shall state the reasons for transferring the child to another school.

The application will be processed within one working day and a drop-out certificate will be issued in the appropriate form to be submitted to the school to which the student is being transferred.

✅ Apply to the principal of the school to be transferred with an application for admission.

The application shall be accompanied by a school leaving certificate and a certificate issued by the local self-government body of the place of residence.

The principal of the school to which the student is being transferred must provide the parents with an admission certificate to present to the school where the student is studying on the day the application and drop-out receipt are received.

✅ The principal of the school where the child is studying should be given a school ticket.

On the same day, an order is issued to expel the student from the school. Parents will be notified of this order and will be provided with the following documents:

✔️Extract from the order of expulsion of the student from the school;

✔️Student grades (mastery);

✔️Student’s medical card.

✅ Documents should be submitted to the principal of the school to be transferred. On the same day, an order will be issued to admit the student to the ranks of schoolchildren.

Within three days of the issuance of the order to admit the student to the school, an appropriate entry shall be made in the class journal and in the student movement book.

DOES SCIENCE TEACHERS HAVE ANY OTHER DUTIES BEYOND LESSONS?

Of course, science teachers have other responsibilities in addition to teaching.

Approved by the Order of the Minister of Public Education No. 393 of December 7, 2019, "Qualification descriptions of the main positions of public educators" defines the qualifications for the position of teacher of general secondary school (boarding school).

According to the description of this qualification, science teachers must also perform the following tasks:

✅conducting optional classes, working in science clubs, preparing students for science Olympiads, various competitions and festivals, the formation of knowledge and skills in students, the implementation of their spiritual and moral education;

✅ control over the provision of students with textbooks and teaching materials and their storage;

✅to keep records of attendance and mastering of students, to ensure that they comply with the requirements of the school charter;

✅Current, intermediate and final tests (control questionnaire), examinations, checking students' written works and notebooks;

✅Development of each lesson plan, didactic handouts and visual aids required for the lesson;

✅Ensuring the safety of attached classrooms, laboratory equipment, technical means, property and other material resources and their effective use for educational and methodological purposes;

✅participation in the pedagogical council, methodical council, seminars, trainings, meetings, open lessons, reporting and development of methodical materials;

✅conduct individual meetings and conversations on issues of adherence to pedagogical ethics, cooperation with parents, upbringing and education of their children;

✅In collaboration with community activists to address the issues of full coverage of children in education, the involvement of ninth-graders in the next stages of education.

Now their students' certificates show their ability to play the national musical instrument.

From the 2022/2023 academic year, the President has decided to teach students to play at least one of the national musical instruments in general secondary schools, as stated in their certificates.

In addition, 92 billion soums will be allocated in 2022 for the organization of practical clubs for students in the field of national musical instruments, fine and applied arts, crafts.

It is mandatory for music teachers to be able to play at least one of the national instruments and at least three from the 2023/2024 academic year.

They are allowed to teach music and run clubs while retaining their basic salary. Music lessons will be organized under the motto "Musical accompaniment to my life".
